Resin, fibers, paper, acrylic, polymer, i've been messing around with it all these past few weeks and my "prototypes" are below. Some turned out o.k., (some are not, really, really not!), and some are exactly what I pictured in my mind's eye.
I don't have much time to mix it up during the "season" here in Palm Desert, you can bet I'm taking advantage of these summer months to design, experiment, implement, construct, dream, fantasize (about jewelry!) and produce.
Just for fun here are a few that are in a category I'm willing to share. . .
Clear Ice Resin embedded with tiny wood beads and freshwater pearls. I've got big plans for Ice Resin! Size M, fits most wrists.
Clear acrylic butterflies and beads in Summer's best colors. Enhanced with brass, So. African olive wood beads and seed beads. The clasp is a lovely brass floral motif. Measures 19" and is light as a feather to wear.
Here are a couple of tiny treasure focal pieces I'm in the process of finishing:
As you know, I enjoy promoting other artists. Here are two websites really worth taking a look-see: http://www.etsy.com/shop/gigglygirldesigns wonderful custom bags, totes, purses, and; http://marygorfine.com/default.aspx some of the most beautiful purses, wall hangings and fun assemblage ever :)
I'm still being invited to show at more events this next "season", I'll have a more accurate calendar up next month.
Be well, Stevie
